Flinders Sunrise WIP

About five years ago I was looking up images of Australia on the internet and came across this one, I have no idea who took the original picture or when. I liked the picture so began doing a painting of it but we moved house and had a few other things crop up that have kept this painting unfinished.

There is only one layer of paint so far, by the time it is finished there will be some sections that will have five or more layers of paint.

This particular view is very popular for photographing and is one of the most commonly encountered scenes from the Flinders Ranges in South Australia. It varies considerably due to rain or lack of it.

This year is the year of getting things done, I intend to get as many unfinished paintings finished as I can as well as more new ones, get the third book finished in The Healer trilogy, buy a DSLR and step up my photography and a get serious about a few other languishing projects.
